Sorry - no pix of Michael wood. But he went here. Or somewhere like it.

A group of female fans of TV historian Michael Wood have contacted us demanding to put their side in the continuing Alice Roberts dress/undress saga.

Since late August, we have been following the wrangling between fan groups eager to see TV presenters such as Alice Roberts, Miranda Krestovnikoff, Bettany Hughes and Kirsty Wark with more or fewer clothes on in shows such as Coast.

Until now, it has been all about men arguing over the women.

But today chair of the Michael Wood Is So Gorgeous Organisation said: "This is not fair. It's always about a pair of tits, isn't it.

"Well, tonight (Wednesday) Michael's presenting the third episode of the Story of England - and I bet we get nothing!

"When he first started out on TV, in shows like In Search of the Trojan War, he used to gallivant around the Aegean with his shirt open to the navel and in a lovely tight pair of jeans.

"Come on Michael, give us girls more of what we want! Too much of the Story of England was shot in winter. There's no fun in watching you walking around Leicestershire fields in your winter kit!

"Back to the Med with you."
