David Cameron amazed seasoned news reporters by claiming that he realised that fathers were important.
Following the release of Iain Duncan-Smith's report which indicated fatherless families were the overwhelming main cause of all the negatives in society, Mr Cameron said, "I did wonder what fathers were for and thanks to Iain's work I now realise how crucial fathers are for the development of their children.
"As a result I commit any future Conservative Government to forcing fathers to stay with the children's mothers and the children. Any father that leaves the house will be shot. This also ensures that women will get all the best jobs."
When his wife was asked to comment on the idea, she said, "I don't want him at home - he can go and sit in the toilet with his I-Pad."
