Word is that comic Danny Bhoy is running for Parliament in the upcoming UK elections. Contacted at a recent Comics Conference the funny man told this equally funny reporter that he believes he is ready to serve his country and what better way to do so than to run for political office.
He hasn't [as yet] decided which party he will join or which constituency he will represent but added:
"Politicians are humorless bastards so it will have to be a really funny party or else I'll just sit as an Independent - which should get me a Cabinet position. Not the missionary position tho' - it's bloody boring"
Mr. Bhoy says he's had "lots of experience with Parliamentary issues" based on his comedy shows.
"I'm absolutely familiar with both Australian and British forms of Parliament. Can you imagine me asking a question....Misstuh Spaykuh....Misstuh Spaykuh....jowls wobbling and all. It'll be a reel hoot".
Polls taken by the Independent and the Beeb both showed Danny Bhoy as an absolute runaway winner if he decided to run.
Scottish toffee-shop lass Imogen MacGoogle lusted after him drooling: "Aye an' he's so sexy an' all"
