London - (Ass Mess): The 27 year-old parole breaker was interviewed at HMP Wormwood Scrubs after cops seized foreign holiday snaps going back several years.
Under parole licence rules Venables has been barred from vacationing abroad without official prior permission.
But pictures seized from his mobile show quite clearly the young thug somehow slipped his minders to avoid yet another dreary, rainswept UK break.
"At first we thought he might have been staying at a south coast Butlins," Det Sgt Nick Flasher of the Yard said today.
"But there he was, caught on camera, swigging from a jeroboam of Vinho Verde and munching on some sort of foreign muck: bolinhos de bacalhau, gambas à guilho, cogumelos salteados com alho and batatas bravas.
"Imagine."
Venables is staying schtum about his foreign holiday jamboree allegations and appetite for exotic dishes.
