Within weeks after the date of this year's general election was announced, it has been cancelled - but in a much more complicated way than usual.

Brown's government would not want to be seen as cancelling the election, as it would make Brown be viewed as a dictator - Robert Mugabe type person. Because of this, he has decided to expend the true extent to which his powers stretch. He has actually planned from the day, May 6th to be deleted from the calendar in this country. The plan has not yet reached Ban Ki-Moon's approval, and speculators say that it is unlikely that it ever will. However, the plan is still going ahead in the UK.

We organised an interview with Brown's advisor, but they never turned up.

There are speculations as to our calendars will jump straight to May 8th, and rumours that it will be replaced with December 25th. These are, however, unfounded.

Are we losing our democracy?

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
