The NHS reportedly spent £4m last year on homeopathic cures, which are completely alien to most of the general public.
Leading homeopathic medicinal scientist, Mrs. Joyflower Buttercup-Palmtree explains how it works: "Well, it's this radical new way to treat things - basically, you take a bit of what may actually be causing the problem, you dilute it in lots of water, then you take it. As long as you believe it'll work, it'll work! It cheers up the fairies inside your body, making you feel better."
However, sceptics were quick to challenge this "bizarre budgeting", arguing that there is no evidence to suggest that the cures actually work.
Joyflower admitted that these fairies are not yet proved to exist by scientists, because they are above science, and are so small, they can dodge all the equipment. She also stated that by believing in these fairies, you cheer them up already, and are much less likely to become ill in the first place.
For the mean time, though, the rationalists are still arguing against this concept.
