Lord Snooty

Legendary 'Beano' comic strip character, 'Dennis De Menezes', hit out today at what he described as 'Heavy handed police tactics', during the quelling of the recent 'Bash Street' riots.

"I distinctly saw Lord Snooty and the Bash Street Kids being manhandled by officers in riot gear." said Dennis. "Danny and Erbert appeared to have blood pouring from scalp wounds, and Plug had lost at least a couple of front teeth. Smiffy fared no better, and Wilfred, an introspective boy, was left badly shaken by events. "This is not good enough." continued De Menezes. "These thugs are public servants, and as such, should be polishing our knobs and licking out boots."

The atrocities were not confined to characters in 'The Beano'.

One traumatised victim, when approached by our roving reporter Daniel Mybrother, was heard to mutter.
"I'm desperate, Dan."

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
