The Chancellor Alistair Darling is to meet Bank Bosses today to persuade them to lend to small businesses.
He said that banks are still not lending enough to small businesses and he is going to see the bank bosses to see if a scheme can be set up in cooperation with the government to help small businesses which are starved of cash.
A civil servant has come forward however and has told us that Darling has just become Director of twenty small businesses just before he is due to meet bank bosses.
Looks like Darlings got it all planned out.
