Media mogul Rupert Turdoch is facing ruin over the 'tapgate' scandal. His legal costs are said to be spiralling out of control as celebrities and politicians line up against him. Sir Alex Ferguson, Alan Shearer and John Prescott have already confirmed that they intend to take legal action. Prescott's could be particularly damaging as amongst the costs he will claim will be his meal allowance during the case.
Turdoch is heading for the gutter, thus joining many of his publications. He may be forced to sell up, and could be declared bankrupt of all morals (again).
Turdoch is refusing to comment, prefering instead to print stories of rich and famous people mixed in with photos of of semi-naked young women. A media empire is about to crumble as 'tapgate' continues to drip. Tomorrow's News of the World is expected not to mention any of it.
