Desperado like this one ruined Pym's dinner at Harry Morgan's

St Johns Wood, London - (Rioters): "Was it something I said about the recession?" bewildered BBC journalist Hugh Pym queried this evening recalling how a crazed, masked gunman burst into Harry Morgan's restaurant in St Johns Wood High Street before opening fire from two automatic pistols.

Pym, 50, was eating Friday night dinner when the gunman, dressed in motorcycling gear, burst into the diner and began shooting at random.

"Cripes, this must be what it's like to work in downtown Baghdad!" Pym added, brushing gunpowder off the sleeve of his Armani suit.

"Of course, it did occur to be I might not be the actual target and that the other feller - little bloke covered in tattoos, five foot two, halitosis and cheap Primark sweater - was being chased by the shooter, maybe some godawful crack deal gone wrong, I dunno."

Sophie Raworth is Monkey Woods' pinup.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
