British eccentric Lord Michael St-Daniels, famous for having spent a number of years tirelessly disproving famous clichés, has taken another phrase down today as it was announced that he has succeeded in teaching an old dog a new trick.
Specifically the Lord has been able to teach an 18 year old Basset Hound, the most recent step-over performed by Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo.
"It took a long time but we got there in the end", St-Daniels explained, "I started off easy with a new dog and an old trick. Then I taught the new dog a new trick. Then I taught an old dog an old trick. And then I hit the jackpot".
Lord St-Daniels is of course famous for his work, having created a Michelin star broth with the help of 121 cooks at the same time. He was also the designer of a new range of book covers, which clearly demonstrate the standard of the book via a simple graphical display on the front cover.
It is believed that the millionaire will now begin a series of tests comparing a wink and a nod to a blind man, with an aim of proving a difference.
