Sources close to the Prince of Darkness have suggested that he may be about to hire the publicist Max Clifford. Satan is thought to be very impressed with Clifford's work with Jade Goody. The once nationally vilified Big Brother is now adored by people and those who lampoon her are chased by angry members of the public.
"Satan wants people to like him," said a Daemon earlier today. "Max is an old friend and it would be great to see him back down here again."
Satan is thought to be contemplating appearing on a special edition of the Weakest Link with another old friend, Anne Robinson. If Clifford's media manipulating skills were added to this then Satan could expect a surge in popularity. Expect exclusive stories in The Sun about "My hell in Hell" and "I Can Have Your Soul, But I Need Your Love".
Max Clifford is thought to be very keen on the project as his current one has a limited shelf life.
