Some say... He's as funny as Jonathon Ross on acid and that he was once an understudy for the Duke of Edinburgh and that he has six, yes six working brain-cells arranged in a V-formation - but we know him as Jeremy Clarkson.
If his views on prostitute-murdering truck-drivers, wasn't enough, he has opened his mouth with the biggest faux-pas of his career to date and has apparently incurred the wrath of Gordon Brown whilst on his 'Top Gear Live' World Tour in Australia.
Speaking from Melbourne today, Clarkson told In Seine News;
"I wasn't talking about the British Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, when I spoke about the "One-eyed Scottish idiot" I was actually referring to the Stig, who happens to be Top Gears' tame racing driver."
"Everyone makes Freudian Slips even Gordon Brown made one on TV this week - 'the D word', Depression. Obviously I have opened up a bit of a can of worms and I shouldn't have said it because now everyone knows who the Stig really is. What is more, I was not picking on his disability (there are 3 to choose from - one-eyed, Scottish or idiot) as an object to be ridiculed, but as something to be admired."
The BBC did not comment as there was no-one available to take our call.
