Newcastle United have been sold by Mike Ashley. The new owners, Beverley and Bryan Tomlinson, won the club in an unlucky bag.
Ashley, in a desperate bid to offload the club, slipped the ownership papers into a lucky bag at a local newsagents.
Devout Sunderland fan Bryan said today "Just my rotten luck. I was hoping to win the bairn a jelly mouse but i end up with NUFC. I don't know what to do with the club. It would make a cracking allotment. I have been approached by Northumberland Pigeon Fanciers Club and Wallsend Ferret Club but i'm gonna hold out for double figures."
