Houses of Parliament in an Asbestos Haze by Monet

Not a loyal royal subject in all of the King's, er Queen's England was very shocked today to learn that the Houses of Parliament are contaminated.

Passers-by on London Bridge made various and accurate guesses as to the Parliamentarian toxicity: Bribes, down and dirty scandals, sexual and otherwise, betting on the ponies, football and crooked cricket... and on and on. But none guessed the most recent pollution in Parliament...

ASBESTOS! Go figure!

Sober MP's for centuries now have been inhaling mind altering and judgement blurring toxic dust. As the Yanks might say, Who'd a thunk it!? Art critics have even suggested that Monet's blurred view of Parliament may not be an impressionistic technique or the controversial theory of poor eyesight but in fact asbestos' purple haze!?

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
