Fiery Glaswegian cook Gordon Ramsay has outraged several high-profile animal charities by demanding they use 'in-season' ingredients.
"Our cats will never be safe again," said veteran campaigner Enid Cartwright. "Everytime my little Fluffikins is in season I will have to protect her from foul-mouthed weegies carrying a meat cleaver. It's not right.'
An RSPCA spokesman said 'Although it is true that domestic pets are more delicious when in season, it is unwise to wage all-out gastronomic war on them. I can see his point though, I am partial to a bit of goldfish in a labrador jus myself.'
Mr Ramsay was unavailable for comment due to undergoing a medical procedure to remove his cranium from his bowel cavity.
