A London Estate Agent has successfully sued a men's magazine after he received a rather nasty paper cut whilst reading the November 2007 issue.
Charles McKenzie of Maida Vale said 'it was a nasty cut, right on the bend of my finger, I kept banging it which was very painful'.
McKenzie repeatedly contacted the magazine the day after the accident to speak with its editor Simon Jones.
Jones however thought this to be a practical joke and did not respond to the calls.
McKenzie then contacted personal injury solicitors 'Claim & Co' who took his case to the High Court where he was awarded damages of £1.2 million.
A jubilant McKenzie told reporters, 'justice was done today, my life has been ruined'.
The magazine refused to comment, however this case could have serious repercussions with magazines soon being forced to display health & safety stickers.
