Sulky Rabbit says 'Leave me alone'
Visitors to a caravan park in south-west Scotland have been put on their guard for a hitch-hiking rabbit. The animal - named Fluffy - sought shelter from the bad weather under the bonnet of a car parked at Sandyhills in Dumfries and Galloway.
When approached later on the animal said: 'Why don't you just all leave me alone?' she said whilst eating a carrot. 'I see all of those cartoon rabbits, Bugs 'What's Up Doc?' Bunny, andThumper, and they all seem to be having so much more fun. I have no job, so can't afford the bus, and so hitching a lift in the space next to an engine seemed like the best idea. Yes, it was warm, almost hot in there, and I thought the vibrations might cause me to lose my teeth, but honestly, between that and the rest of the life in my hutch, there really was no choice. You people think I was sheltering from the rain, rain is nothing to me, and as for calling me Fluffy, that is just ridiculous.
If I had had my way, I would have been a dancer in Vegas, but you stopped me before I even left the country. I would have gotten away with it as well, if it had not been for you meddling kids'.
