London - (Opportunist Mess): William has hit out at non-royal sources making money from Princess Diana's death and has said that he believes the tragedy of her death has been turned into a 'cottaging industry'.
The 24 year old admitted on US TV last night that he could never see an end to opportunities to make money out of her despite being George Bush's son and paid to impersonate the dead little princelet.
"People will always have this fascination about her and I mean to make sure that continues," he told Matt Lauer.
"But I'm afraid there's all these other people out there who want to make money out of this scam, and I have the copyright.
"Why can't they just leave me and Harry alone so we can milk this one to death as is our birthright?" he asked, wiping a convenient tear from his eye as a well-time spec of dust landed on his retina.
"But what really bugs is is how her memory has been turned into a gay icon, a cottaging industry with everybody poking their ..er, noses into my family buisness.
"It's just plain unnatural, that's what it is."
William's 25th birthday would have been on 21st June.
