The BBC has announced that this year its hit show, The Apprentice, will be getting even meaner than previous years.
Because every time it comes to the boardroom scene, instead of Sir Alan Sugar saying "You're fired!" to that week's loser, there will be a radical new twist.
The doomed wannabe will be forced out onto the 24th floor window ledge for a week and then viewers will be invited to phone in and choose either "jump or dump".
If jump wins the vote then the loser must plummet to the pavement below and if it's dump, then Sir Alan gets to say his famous line.
The bearded curly-top told us:
"Some people say that it's a bit brutal but that's business. It's dog eat dog out there and my apprentices need to be prepared for every eventuality. One day you're riding high the next you're in the gutter"
BBC execs are said to be concerned about the proposal but have agreed to test the idea out for the first week of the new run.
Donald Trump is believed to be studying the developments closely and commented:
"Do you think that anybody will actually believe that this is my own hair?"
