Satellite broadcaster UKTV Gold has stunned the media world by broadcasting for 24 hours and not showing an episode of "Only Fools and Horses"
In what's a first for the station, programme controller Rodney Trotter told The Spoof:
"This has all come about when we had a meeting recently and decided to do something different. I first thought that we could never get away with but it just shows"
The broadcaster famous for showing wall to wall adverts offering to consolidate all your loans into one easy affordable payment now has big plans. Says a jubilant Trotter:
"Instead of interspersing our ads output for the day with an episode of the nation's best loved comedy we now have plans to use maybe an episode of Steptoe or the Likely Lads"
We asked Rodney about recent reports that excessive programme excerpts were interfering with viewer's enjoyment of the adverts:
"We have strict guidelines to follow and I can assure our viewers that there are no plans to reduce our advert content in favour of more actual programmes"
