Residents of Jurnsey Nursing Homes are eschewing Tombola and Bingo Nights, in favour of more radical pursuits.
'We may be old, but we're hungry for the bold and ground - breaking', says Reenie Pankhurst,100, today.
Reenie has been the Entertainments Officer at Ocean - View Golden Years Home, for some time. But she was also a WAF during WW2. She finds the even tenor of her lot boring, to say the least.
She's had enough.....now she's getting involved in recruiting maverick Entertainers for her fellow Residents...people like Russell Rand, Stuart Lee and Andie Soho have been mentioned, (although rejected) by her fellow Committee members.
'We're going with Michael Mull o' Kyntire to start with', says Reenie. Who knows where it will end...beats knitting anyway'.
