Even a roll in the grass is part of the routine for Liz

The next time you're taking a walk in the park don't be surprised if you see a group of lady pensioners doing aerobics just by the bandstand - That's because Liz Poncho and her group of "Gruntin' Grannies for Fitness" are embarking on a tour of the UK to promote health and fitness among the over seventies.

Liz, an ex-headmistress and magistrate, told The Spoof between keep-fit sessions:

"At our age it's so important to keep fit. If we don't stay on the go then we may seize up and before we know it, it's goodnight Vienna"

The Glamorous Great-Gran and mother of three was once voted "Most cracking bit of stuff 1966" at Butlins, Minehead.

"It was all along time ago" she smiles, "But it's true to say I've been round the block once or twice and I put that down to keeping myself fit and tidy, if you know what I mean?" she winks with a mischievous grin and a wink.

Now turn to our special feature to see some of the Gruntin' Grannies exercises that are guaranteed to keep you well fit too.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
