Fiji - (Associated Mess): Peter Foster, the convicted fraudster and blind trust portfolio adviser to Cherry Bush QC, is back in custody today on the Pacific Island of Fiji after two weeks on the run following UK extradition demands in the cash-for peerages scam which saw Prime Monster Tony Blair's bagman Lord Levy arrested in July.
Foster, 44, was arrested after jumping into the River Dubya (sic) just as armed Fijian cops were about to handcuff him before taking him to a local holistic pampering facility whose speciality is the removal of memory loss caused by too much massaging of financial data relating to anonymous loan facilities run on behalf of the UK Labour Party.
Police authorities on the island have confirmed that he is wanted in the UK on charges of international fraud after several loans in the bungs-for-peerages scam that found their way into Labour Party coffers were traced to commissions received by Foster from General Augusto Pinochet.
Extradition to London is expected to proceed as scheduled on Monday.
