The Anglican Church faced further humiliation when a well known Canon was accused of having intimate relations with one of his flock.
It was also alleged that the Canon was the father of a child born to the woman.
The Archbishop of Canterbury dismissed the allegations as being mischievous and totally untrue
‘For crying out loud', the Archbishop exclaimed.
‘Does nobody read the papers these days, the church is all about lesbian and gay issues!
‘How could the canon, father a child!'
‘When the canon is gay and can only fire blanks?'.
‘It's media people like you that give our sexually deviant clerics a bad name'
‘What kind of a church do you think I'm running here?'
