After two years of planning and six months of construction, Bolton has finally got its own library book.
Entitled 'Bolton's Library Book', it is a gripping account of Bolton's pioneering library book project. Five thousand potential readers have already got their names on the waiting list for borrowing the book.
But there's some uncertainty as to where they borrow it from.
"It would be great if there was a local library which lent it out," said one impatient borrower.
When we raised this matter with the council, the chairman said "Oh shit! We forgot about that!"
Council members are now drawing up plans to build a library to enable Bolton's readers to borrow 'Bolton's Library Book' at weekly intervals.
In the meantime, Bolton's more avid readers are being advised to put their names on another waiting list if they want to borrow Bolton's second library book entitled 'Bolton's Plans for New Library'.
"It should be available in another two years," said the chairman. "So that's something else for our readers to look forward to."
