Harry Redknapp, now cleared of accusations against him of avoiding tax, has become front runner to take over as manager at West Ham. Ths will leave Sam Allardyce free to take the England Manager's job as Fabio Capello seeks to become Manager of England's cricket team.
Fabio, who until now has kept his cricketing interest carefully hidden, is sure he will learn the job rapidly. 'I now know Lords is a cricket Ground and not a Lord' he told an expectant press conference.
West Ham fans will be pleased to see Harry return to the team he played for and managed previously, before unfortunate issues interferred with football matters. 'They are the Champions' he said, displaying his knowledge of Freddie Mercury's poetry 'and I want to see the Hammers top the Premier Division next season. To start I will bring Scott Parker back to his own ground which he misses terribly.'
Tottenham fans are supportive of Harry in his quest for glory. 'Why should we have him to ourselves all the time?' asked devoted fan Hot Spur.
Uncle Sam, having seen West Ham to the top of the Championship says he is ready for England, although this is a step down from the Hammers job - the most coveted job in football.
