In her new autobiography "The Second Conservative I Had" Edwina Currie has given details about her illicit affair with ex conservative leader Iain Duncan Smith.
"I just love conservative leaders," said Currie. "I don't know what draws me to them, even Thatcher turned me on sometimes when she was making a speech and getting really heated."
IDS' wife was shocked to hear of the affair. "When he wasn't lying next to me at night, I just presumed he'd turned invisible. He suffers from partial visibility you see, so I just thought he was invisible. If I'd have known he was in that bitch's bed I'd have cut the crotches out of his best suit trousers right there and then."
It is believed that information about the love affair had reached conservative party MPs and was a catalyst in the ousting of the former leader.
The battle for leadership of the party continues.
