The people of Ireland were celebrating today after it was announced that, following the Pope's visit to the Top Gear track, the legendary Holy Stone of Clonrichert will finally be upgraded to a Class I relic and will now be given listed status.
The Holy Stone came to prominence in the early 1990's and has since attracted followers from all over the world.
Cardinal Cormac Murphy O'Connor, former Archbishop of Westminster, said of this momentous day: "God Ted, it's about time. I just thought they were having a bit of a laugh when they phoned. Sure I thought I was going to go there all on me own and look like a big eejut, but they really did want to upgrade the old stone to a class one. Fantastic. Its the one thing I didn't expect."
