Arsene Wenger has made a controversial move for the upcoming game against Premiership new boyos Swansea City, by fielding his Ladies XI.
Wenger has eight first team players out due to injury or suspension, with a majority of the remaining squad having been on International duty. Wenger is keen to avoid any further injuries before the Gunner's Champions League game in Germany on Tuesday night.
"We have a busy schedule with six games in just under 3 weeks" said Wenger. Arsenal have historically played a younger side in the Carling Cup, however this is a pioneering move.
On the ground breaking move Wenger said "the Ladies are mentally strong and can compete physically in the Premiership"
Asked whether he will be in the changing room with the ladies, he said "Of course not, I will be in the little boys room".
