We can report that Camilla, Prince Charles' mate, missed the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games due to a bout of stable cough.
Stable cough can be caused by sleeping in infected straw. For security reasons Camilla was not allowed to fly to India and spent 3 days travelling there in a horse box. It is thought the driver forgot to change her straw.
Prince Charles was particularly displeased because he wanted to ride her round the ring with the British athletes; it is known she was reluctant to do this in case she laddered her tights on the boarded floor but Charles had promised her a big carrot if she was good.
The Queen is said to be concerned but when asked if she would comment she said, "Neeeeiighh".
Whilst Princess Anne prefers a saddle, Camilla is know for her liking of being ridden bareback and 'insiders' tell us that Charles likes to dress up as Wellington when he rides her.
We asked Prince William for a comment and he said, "Haaaw Haaw Haaaaar".
