Charles runs hoodies out of Buckingham.

It's Open! No, not the chip shop down the road. The 19th Commonwealth Games was officially opened by Prince Charles, who made an iconic speech to mark the day.

"It gives me great joy to say that the Commonwealth Games. It would give me greater joy if I got to be King but I guess we can't all get what we want."

Britain, currently experiencing joy in the Ryder Cup, finally made it to the Commonwealth. Although Charlie boy won't be staying in the Athlete Village of course. He's booked into the Hilton suites.

In related news, our Charlie Boy has accepted a job... as BBC Commonwealth pundit. The Prince of Wales was overwhelmed with this selection, and was quoted as saying:

"One loves working for a company without political bias. Camila darling, I made a funny!"

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
