Mighty Liverpool humbled by Northampton. - The Reds lost out in a penalty shootout to the Cobblers after a hard fought 2-2 draw left a penalty shoot out as the deciding factor.
Here at Skoob Sports News, we didn't laugh.
Honest.
Well, not all that much anyway.
Our Scouse man on the spot, Micky McWhack was almost too gobsmacked by the shock result to comment.
"They played well, Northampton. Considering it was pissing down and that. Fair play to 'em, but this result is just embarrassing. I suppose it could have been worse. But not much. At least the Rent Boys got a good twatting by Newcastle. Overall though, it's not been a good week for us, losing to the Mancs and now Northampton..."
Cobblers fan, Jimmy Spandex, told us:
"That was blinding. Nobody gave us a prayer before kick off, but me and about four and a half thousand mates will be singing in the rain tonight. Providing we don't get japped in Stanley Park by Stanley wielding scallies."
More as we get it.
And a quick thanks to Monkey Woods for being more on the ball than I've been lately.
