Queen Sofia, of Spain, according to reports was going absolutely mental last night as an Andres Iniesta goal secured the World Cup for the Spaniards.
HRH could be seen in TV coverage going proper crazy in the stands as the extra time winner bulged the back of the Dutch net.
Our contact suggests that she was waving a scarf in the air, shouting her head off, and charging the bar for some more cava. After reportedly yelling to Dutch dignitaries:
"You're not singing any more!"
Then, according to a source, when the Dutch dignitaries challenged her behaviour as unladylike, she chanted:
"You're going home in a fucking ambulance!"
Which was regarded, apparently, as not being in the best possible taste. As was a first half chant allegedly heard saying:
"You dirty Dutch bastards!"
And the final chant, allegedly heard from the bar area, singing:
"You're so shit it's unbelievable!"
Of course, none of this reportage has been verified as factual, and basically, we just make it up as we go along on Skoob Sports News. But we can't help thinking that, had the Dutch played to their capabilities, rather than trying to kick the Spaniards up in the air every eight seconds, they may have been looked on more favourably.
