Wimbledon - (Grand Slam Mess): Was world No 1 seed Roger Federer seduced with a whopping great big backhander to throw yesterday's Wimbledon quarter finals against Czech sensation Tomas Berdych?
"Categorically not!" was the Federer camp response today as internet spread betting sites reaped a $$$s landslide of antepost betting slips.
"The idea is as preposterous as Tim Henman making a grand slam comeback," online bookies Aintgottaprayer.con commented.
"Besides, everyone knows that Andy Murray would have wiped the floor with Federer on Men's Finals Day, ha ha.
"And it's not like Rog needs the money anyway!"
Not everyone is happy with the explanation however.
Forensic scrutiny of the quarter finals footage shows a lacklustre Federer in a series of risible Henmanesque moves that 'may have taken a decade of practise' to perfect.
Judy Murray is 69.
