Fooball bosses admitted today that "terrible mistakes" had been made when announcing England's final 23 players for the World Cup Finals.
Bosses blamed Fabio Capello's inability to communicate effectively in English for the fact that Boris Johnson has been selected as right back.
There are also concerns that Capello's controversial selection of Daniel Defoe and Mickey Rooney will leave England short of pace in attack.
Soccer pundits are unclear whether Capello will opt for Robson Green, Tony Hart or Sid James in goal, whilst the defensive combination of Archduke Ferdinand and Nat King Cole is untried at the highest level.
Sources suggest that Amanda Barry will only make the team against the USA if she survives a rigorous session with John Terry.
There are also fears that John Lennon will fade out of the game whenever anybody shouts out the word: "Shoot".
Fabio Capello said: "These is the team what I wazza wanted. I is only sorry that the famous Wester Hammer stars Mary Peters, Roger Moore and Damien Hurst wazza notter fitternuff to join the squad".
Following the announcement of the squad, Ladbroke's last night slashed England's odds of lifting the World Cup to 500-1.
