The family of South African 800m runner Caster Semenya have reacted angrily to reports that women athletes may refuse to race against her.
Some of the world's top women athletes could boycott the sport if Semenya is allowed to return to competition before her gender controversy has been settled.
"This is a real kick in the bollocks for my daughter," said Mrs Gladys Semenya (85).
Doubts about Caster's gender surfaced at last year's Olympic Games where she won 23 gold medals, drank 30 pints of lager in two hours and beat Geoff Capes in an arm-wrestling contest.
Last year, the South African athlete shaved 10 seconds off the 800m world record and 10mm off her moustache.
Caster has been defended by her close friend, international footballer Robin van Persie.
"If Caster's a bloke, then I'm a Dutchman," said the Arsenal striker.
