Shocking Olympic teams in Sweden and the U.S., the recent marital announcement from Swedish speed skating champion Ivanna Phuque, and U.S. short track speed skater, Michael Hunt, caught both countries by surprise.
Keeping their relationship as private and as quiet as they could during the recent Winter Olympics in Canada, Hunt and Phuque had been flying back and forth to each other's country since the closing ceremonies. "Vonce I met Michael, I knew Hunt was the man to handle Phuque". Ivanna told reporters. "Even after meeting her 5 gorgeous sisters, I knew she was the right Swedish Phuque for me", says Hunt.
The Swedish Olympic Committee seems to be getting shafted in the deal, losing the best Phuque they have ever had on the team.. "There are other Phuques", says speed skating coach, Laars Lipplikk. "Once Lipplikk gets his hands on her younger sister Anita, I will make her a champion. Anita Phuque's name will go down in history".
Sports and politics aside, Mike Hunt was reportedly happy to return to the U.S. with Ivanna in order to start wedding plans. Ivanna has filed for residency status and plans to join the U.S. Olympic team. "We're looking for a small town in the Midwest to start our lives together", says Hunt. "We've settled on Smegma Falls, Idaho".
Ivanna was accepted to the Olympic team immediately and will compete under her new married name, Ivanna Phuque-Hunt.
