Doctor's at the Chelsea & Westminster Hospital were astounded late last night when Alla, the wife of Didier Drogba, gave birth to a white baby boy!
Drogba, the Ivory Coast and Chelsea striker, was absolutely overjoyed with the new arrival and has proclaimed that the fact that the baby is white "is a miracle, a miracle from God".
There is joy and amazement around the Chelsea camp this morning, Super Frankie Lampard commented "it is a big surprise for us all, we thought she had gone to the clinic with Bridge's missus. Didier is deeply religious and he thinks that it is a sign from him upstairs. We have had a sweepstake on the name, most of the squad think that they will call the baby John, after the, erm . . . guy from the Bible?"
In other Chelsea team news, rumour has it that John Terry may be considering a move abroad, my source, a rather agreeable homeless chap I bumped into down the bus station, said "John just wants to get the f#@k out of London".
