From trailing by two goals at Goodison Park, Everton staged a rousing comeback to level the scores, only to have a penalty kick awarded against them deep into stoppage time.
Everton keeper Tim Howard, did a 'Barthez at Fulham' impression, delaying Tottenham penalty taker Jermaine Defoe by kicking the goalpost a few times, ostensibly clearing his studs of mud.
The tension mounted as the two squared off.
Howard saved the shot with his legs.
Defoe was as sick as a parrot.
Howard was over the moon. The Tourettes afflicted goalkeeper then stamped his feet a bit, thrashed his arms around, waved his fists a lot and if our lip-reading correspondent is to be believed, let fly a torrent of swearwords.
Final score: 2-2. Or two each apiece.
David Moyes is Scottish.
