Fernando Monte Verde, the International Playboy, jet setter, and billionaire known as The World's Most Interesting Man fell asleep at The Dos Lagos Celebrity Golf Tournament yesterday. Tournament organizers, who were paying him a large fee for showing up and for commentary, were stunned that he would insult them by such a performance.
When asked for comment, Monte Verde said that "I am famous as the World's Most Interesting Man, not the World's Most Interested Man. It was boring to watch these celebrities who think that they are as good as Tiger Woods or Jack Nicklaus play golf. They were not very good and not very interesting, so I was bored and not interested."
"I chose the time to take a nap. Now, I will be more interesting to all of the ladies and have more stamina for the Nineteenth Hole!"
