BUGSWORTH, Md. -- Champion golfer Tiger Woods killed a strange sand monster with his club while playing a tournament and saved the lives of hundreds.
"No one knows where it came from," said a policeman on the scene. "But Tiger was quick with his club, a nine iron I think, and he beat it senseless."
The strange sand creature appeared from nowhere and was ready to attack every human on the tour, including fans.
"I am sure it was going to devour me and my family," said a fan watching the game when the creature appeared. "Tiger saved us all."
Scientists are inspecting the sand monster for clues of its origin.
Meanwhile, the tour has been postponed until the course can be checked for the possible appearance of other strange creatures that might threaten civilization.
