Premiership new boys and title favourites Hull City today announced to the stock exchange that they have acquired from Chelsea football club their former trophy cabinet. The cabinet itself is nine feet by six, mahogany and a bit dusty.
It is believed Hull had to bid against giants of football such as Bolton Wanderers for this prized asset. A Bolton Wanderers spokesman said " good luck to Hull they won it fair and square and we can get one cheaper off Preston or Burnley"
It is believed the trophy cabinet has been placed firmly and squarely on Ivan Campo's rented yatch "michelin man" in Hull's swanky riveria district.
Hull chairmen Paul Duffbudgie stated " I thought it would be nice for Ivan to have something to sleep on or we could always use it as a trophy cabinet and put our trophy in it"
