Liverpool - (Ass Mess): The curse of Chelsea Football Club continued its dire course today amid reports that Pepe Reina, the Liverpool goalkeeper whose 'heroic' performance saw his club thrash Chelsea 1-0 in last night's Champions League semi final, was burgled during yesterday evening as he played for his club.
The goalie's Porsche Cayenne were stolen along with a number of expensive nick-nacks and boys' toys from his Woolton home.
The report follows today's tragic news that an honorary vice-president of the losing Chelsea side, Phillip Carter, and three others were dound dead in the wreckage of their Twin Squirrel chopper after flying home to Cambridgeshire after the match.
"It's a dire day for football," said a sports commentator today as Chelsea FC remain in shock at their 1-0 thrashing as well as the helicopter tragedy that is so spookily reminiscent of Matthew Harding's 1996 chopper tragedy.
