Footballer, 24, had been playing with the lovable rodents with his partner, Tom Man, who also plays football for Football United, when he sustained scratching damage to his lower colon.
The football world has been shocked by yet another hamstering incident. UEFA is considering banning the animals from the dressing room, but may be prevented from taking action because the head of UEFA, Sepp Blatter, is a giant footballing hamster.
Mr Blatter was unavailable for comment as he was exercising in his wheel.
