London - Football's coming home alright with the announcement that newly knighted Sir Roy Hodgson of Pratts Bottom and his victory team are to be treated to a fab Palace garden party to mark their historic World Cup win (WTF? 'Ed').
Sunday's no expenses spared champagne reception will start with an open-top double decker bus lap of honour around the capital followed by a richly deserved photo-op outside Number 10.
The team will then make their way up the Mall to Buckingham Palace where they will line up on the 'kissing balcony' with Prince Harry, Kate Middleton's dog Lupo and the Queen's footie-mad poodle Toby Blare (sic).
Sir Roy's valiant men will then treat the nation to a bit of a televised kickabout among the Palace's fantastic herbaceous borders where at least five previous England World Cup managers are believed to be buried.
Live coverage of the event will be broadcast on the Queen's YouBoob! Channel.
