SEATTLE - There is a saying up in the Northwest that Seattle and rain go together like Kirstie Alley and Hostess Twinkies.
Hercules Confetti with Sporting Chance Magazine spoke to Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson at a local Barbed Wire Barbecue Diner.
Confetti asked him if he was any relation to singer Carnie Wilson, daughter of Brian Wilson of the California band the Beach Boys.
Wilson replied that he wasn't but added that he gets asked that questions quite a bit.
Confetti then asked him if it was true that he carries a gold coin in his underwear for good luck.
The Seattle quarterback laughed and told him that he had him confused with his center Max Unger (#60).
He was then asked if it was true that he had eaten seven hot dogs after they had defeated the New Orleans Saints 23-15.
Wilson grinned and said that he had him confused with Seahawks cheerleader Darlene Lufkintiggler.
49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick was interviewed by Zorro La Bamba with The Sports Bet Gazette.
Colin was asked if he ever considered changing his name to one that was easier to spell and pronounce.
Kaepernick smiled and said that he did actually think about changing it to Colin Ryan but he did not want anyone to confuse him with Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan.
La Bamba wanted to interview wide receiver Anquan Boldin (#81) but coaches were afraid that the temperamental Boldin could end up biting La Bamba and getting hit with a fine and possible suspension.
SIDENOTE: President Obama was asked if he had bet on the 49ers-Seahawks game. He responded by asking, "Does Wynonna Judd love cornbread?" La Bamba asked him how much he had bet and on which team. President Obama grinned and said that he had bet $4,000 on the guys from Frisco.
