MIAMI - The Miami Heat took game one in the NBA Eastern Conference Finals as they edged out the Indiana Pacers 103-102 in overtime.
Charles Barkley said he was at the game but he was dressed incognito. A fan who spotted Charles, known as "The Fat Bro" said that Barkley was dressed like an African jungle chief.
The fan said that the only reason he realized that it was Charles was because early in the first quarter he heard Barkley say "The play was turrible" which is Charles signature mispronunciation.
After the game Barkley was approached by Rufus Reno with Sports Balls Illustrated Daily. He asked the TNT sports analyst what he thought about LeBron James performance.
Barkley said that James had played 46 minutes and if he keeps that up he is going to run out of steam pretty quick.
Charles also commented that he noticed that LeBron ate two hot dogs and drank a 16-oz. Diet Dr. Pepper between the third and fourth quarters.
He pointed out that the Indiana Pacers showed that they can hang with the boys from the Plywood State and give them a run for their money.
SIDENOTE: Charles, who is quite the betting man, said that he has bet $20,000 that Indiana will beat the Heat in the conference finals.
