BOSTON - It took her ten days, but New England Patriot's wide receiver Wes Welker's wife, Anna has finally issued an apology to Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis.
Mrs. Welker, 32, made the apology through Dottie Bazooka a reporter with Sports Balls Illustrated Daily.
She stated that at the time she made the arrogantly sarcastic remark she was still extremely upset that her husband's team had gotten clobbered by the Ravens 28-13 and she simply lashed out like a little spoiled high school brat.
Anna Welker said that she feels bad for saying that a much better name for the Ravens would have been Robins, Canaries, or Parrots.
She wanted it made perfectly clear that the fact that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell fined the Patriots organization $400,000 for her insensitive remark had nothing whatsoever to do with her deciding to issue an apology.
Mrs. Welker said that she had talked the matter over with her hubby Wes, 32, their pastor Reverend Bolivar S. Pickervoodle, 53, and a neighbor Amethyst Noreen Frillweiser, 29, who manages a local Captain Cluckity Cluck Cluck's Chicken Shack, and it was suggested unanimously that she take the high road and apologize.
SIDENOTE: Wes is so happy that his wife finally apologized that he told her that on Monday after Super Bowl Sunday they will fly down to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and stay at Ryan Seacrest and Steven Tyler's Puffy Taco Resort & Casino for six days and six nights.
