The world of football was shocked today, when Liverpool signed ex player and ex manager Kenny Dalglish, on a one year contract.

Under fire manager, Brendan Rodgers claimed it was not an act of desperation, but a move based on Dalglish's experience, having played over 350 games for the club.

He was reluctant to answer questions as to what a 61 year old former player could achieve for the club, in such a short period of time, but did say " King Kenny was an icon at this club as a player, and as a manager, right up to the point when they sacked him"

Insiders at the club believe that Rodgers has been forced into into the move, after he was told that Andy Carroll had gone on loan to West Ham for the season, and not for a month, as he was led to believe.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
